Summerfest 2009

Saturday was filled with heat and festivities. Royal City community days seemed a success from where we were standing. We had a few participants...

Anthony is riding his bike with the primary kids. This was his last year for that opportunity, because he will be out of primary in May.

Connor and Chase are shown here, playing in the HS marching band. We can see Connor fairly easily. Chase is right beside him, but kind of behind him in the photo. It's pretty hard to find your kids in the band when they are marching, all wearing the same outfit, and your looking through a 2 inch screen that you can hardly see because your eyes are not as sharp as they used to be. (Suddenly I'm reminded of a sign I have in my kitchen, that Terry gave me for Mother's Day - There will be a $5.00 charge for whining!)

BrittanyJo is here, walking with the middle school band. It's easier to see her, because they are not wearing any hats (or whatever those things are officially called) and I can see the drums fairly easily. So, she's in the back with a drum.
