Did You Know?

I haven't done so well at blogging and feel the need to inform you of a few things I might have neglected to share:

DID YOU KNOW that Chase is the RHS assistant tennis coach.
He is really looking forward to a great mission. Did you see that post earlier? He's goin' to Reno!

DID YOU KNOW that BJo is statistician for girls softball. She likes that, but would probably rather be going to stake dances or conferences.

DID YOU KNOW that we have been doing some moving and cleaning, and cleaning and moving lately. We (finally) got Keith and Idris' home cleaned. DID YOU KNOW that Thomas and Dana have moved their family into that home. (FYI - did you know that as per dad/Keith's request, we bought that home after he passed away.)
DID YOU KNOW that Michael and Tawnee just arrived today. They are back to Royal for a few months - going to live in our "log cabin" home that Thomas and Dana moved out of.

DID YOU KNOW that Skyler and Lisa are anxiously ... wait, we are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of their daughter - next week hopefully. DID YOU KNOW that Lisa just graduated from college. Skyler is continuing his schooling at BYU-I.
DID YOU KNOW that Gregory & Adena are due in May and Brandon & Megan are expecting a baby in June.

DID YOU KNOW that Connor is graduating from RHS in ... oh wow! ... he has less than 2 months.
He is working after school at 21st Century.

DID YOU KNOW that Anthony has been helping his dad after school for several hours changing water and digging corrugates. It's been a great help. Terry has been trying to fix the lawn mower for the last couple weeks and he's done it! So, today Anthony got to mow the lawn. YEA!

DID YOU KNOW that today, April 21st is supposed to be a celebration day???? Yip! Today is T-731 ... though really, we've stopped counting. Two years ago today Terry got his stem cell transplant. We wish we could say that we are celebrating a "new birth" on this day, but the only way that will happen is if one of our children has a baby today. Transplant was not a success, so we'll have to find success some other way, place, time, etc.

There is probably something I forgot to mention...,
but mostly want to say that we believe ...

TODAY ...

I'll try to use just a few words to share this day:

To Wenatchee for Bone Marrow Biopsy - Terry says it's one of the easiest he's had (even with the anticipation and no drugs). DONE! Results the end of next week.

To Moses Lake - Parts Run! DONE!

Favorite of the day - MISSION CALL!
Chase received his mission call -
To the Nevada Reno Mission
Report to Provo MTC June 27, 2012

We are really happy for him! We have been anxiously awaiting this call and are grateful that it is here. It's a good call! It's coming up soon!

Okay, after that news, I guess the rest of the day is just the rest of the day!

RS mtg was good! Glad to have gone! Glad Terry was feeling well enough so that I felt comfortable in going.

Ofa 8

Today's chemo went as well as expected. Nothing really worthy of mention, except that it is completed. The weekly treatments are complete and now we have 4 monthly treatments to go.

Lab work was also completed:
WBC = 3.3(L)
RBC = 3.63(L)
Platelets = 62(L)
Neutrophils = 1.0(L)

ALT = 56 normal :)
AST = 52(H)but we are still happy with this number!!!

Glucose was slightly high - we know why :) - today was/is a birthday celebration, and at our house for breakfast on birthdays we have cake and ice cream. MMMMMM GOOOOD!

We had news that was both good and bad today:
- good news was that Terry does not ache from a bone marrow biopsy today, because there was no bone marrow biopsy today - there was no one in the lab at SCCA this week.
- bad news was that there was no bone marrow biopsy today, meaning there is another week of having to worry about that upcoming unpleasant procedure ... it's not yet over and done!

Other news is that the CT Scan Terry had Tuesday shows no major changes. Okay! Why are we not surprised!?!?!?!

Shout Out!

Happy Birthday Chase!
We Love You!

Spring Time Beauty

I'm loving the look out in our front yard ... well, these two looks anyway. I have to overlook the weeds and not-so-green lawn still ... but I'm ever-so-grateful for the beautiful blossoms!

Spring Break and Easter

We had a great Easter day!

The night before Easter we colored a few eggs. (Auger and BJo in photo.) We didn't do too many because it was late and we wanted to watch Hop. We hadn't seen it yet and thought it might be a fun thing to do after egg coloring. Can't really recommend it ... sorry! There's gotta be a better Easter movie out there.

Here is a photo of Connor, Anthony, and Terry - working on a sign that welcomes people as they drive into town here in RC. The sign is up, but there are still some things that need to be done to complete the look.

Spring Break is over and I feel like I need another one this week. We had a busy week, filled with a lot of different things, but not enough vacation activity. Work is good, but family time was lacking. I need another week of spring break for that.
We loved having the kids home and wished it could continue. I guess filling their brains with knowledge is a good thing too, so I let them go today without too much fuss.

#7 is Done

Terry's chemo treatment went well yesterday.
We hurried to another event last night so I didn't remember to post about it. I'm really trying to prepare everyone for next week.
Our appointment will be on Friday next week so that they can do a bone marrow biopsy to check those counts.
Before that though (Tuesday) Terry will have a CT scan. They are trying to see how this new chemical is working.

This week's blood counts were really the same ol' thing...

WBC = 3.1(L)
RBC = 3.70(L)
Platelet Count = 55(L)
Neutrophils = 1.1(L)
ALT = 61 NORMAL
AST = 65(H)

So, we are definitely happy for the one normal, but it seems that we will never understand the other numbers ....
And if we can't understand them, we certainly can't explain them.
