Thomas is planting peas

Here he is loading the seed into the planter.
It's rather exciting to know that we are planting and that the earth will soon be covered in beautiful spring colors. It's been looking a little dreary for awhile now.

We noticed another sign of spring today - the daffodils are braving the weather. They are up a couple inches. I would have taken a picture of those too, but I have not braved the weather to go out and clean the garden.

Spring has sprung here too. We will start planting cotton on Tuesday, and we will start baling alfalfa Tuesday also.
Ground prep is different here though. We went over the field once with a deep ripper, then once with a heavy disc, then once with a lighter disc, then once with a springtooth to smooth it, then once with a lister to build up rows, then comes the planter. Lots of tractor hours. Anyway...Congrats.
