We just got 2 cantaloupe from our garden, thanks to Michael's great efforts this summer. They were ripe and beautiful and tasted like cantaloupe - wow!
It's canning season, and we've been doing a lot of it. Thomas and Dana have been doing some too. Here is a photo of them canning their peaches today.

Looks like fun! What's really funny is that we harvest our melons in June and cann our peaches and applesauce in May! If we tried to can right now we'd have to can cotton or hay, which doesn't sound too appetizing.
