Michael is in Oroku, Okinawa, right on the beach, with a Japanese companion who has taken a few years of English. He has handed out his first Book of Mormon and they have 3 baptisms coming up. Someone committed to baptism on his 2nd day there. Whether the work will continue to be so fruitful remains to be seen, but what a wonderful set of events for his first week out.
He had to purchase a bike and several other supplies. Knowing how he does like to spend money, we are quite sure that set of events was enjoyable as well.
We checked a world clock and learned the time difference between us. That is rather interesting. Check out the time converter for Japan at the bottom section of our blog.
